Jatim Park 1 and Museum Angkut

Continuing our holiday trip on December 2014 in East Java, on a second day of our trip I with my family went to Jatim Park 1. Early in the morning we arrived to JTP1. As soon as we arrived, we took a picture in the front of the big GONG at the entrance of the JTP1. Since we already had a ticket pass for 2 days, we didnt need to queue up in the ticket office. We could directly enter the gate to JTP1.

There were a hall containing many traditional houses from many places in Indonesia as well as the people with their traditional dresses. Second hall we visited containing science center where you could find all interesting science experiments which you could play with them.

As we walk out of the hall, we found many statues or artefacts like Ganesha, Gajah Mada, Sri Goddess and  Shiwa God to name just a few. Then we entered diorama of the Indonesian struggling events against the imperialist/colonialist. Suddenly there is a big rain which forced us to find a shelter so that we did not get wet. I had a chance to do some painting on a pottery as we were waiting the rain to stop.

Finally the rain stopped and we continued our journey to get to the amusement park. This park is similar to Dufan in Jakarta but in a miniature scale. I had a chance to ride a spinning coaster, sky swinger, aero test, mini swinger. The most scariest ride is aero test where our body were turned upside down in a very high speed as we were in the fit test to become an astronaut. There was also a mini water park but we did'nt have a chance to swim because we did'nt bring any swimming suit.

As we felt satisfied with the rides, we left the JTP 1 for Museum Angkut. It took us about 30 minutes to get there. We arrived in Museum Angkut a bit late around 6 o clock in the evening. The museum is closed at 8 pm which allowed us only 2 hours to walk around. Inside the museum, we could find many transportation means from bicycle, motorcycles, automobiles, miniatures of sailboats even airplanes and helicopters from all over the world from the past till present. We took so many pictures inside. Then we entered different zones as we walked further, There were Batavia zone, American zone with gangster scene, Las Vegas, Broadway and Hollywood,And then there were Italy, French with Mini Eiffel Tower, England and Germany zone complete with cars and motorcycles from each countries' origin. Besides the transportation means, there was also exhibits containing Hollywood celebrities like we found in the Madame Tussaud. We could meet Elvis Presley, Brad Pitt, Marylin Monroe and even Mr. Beans. We didnt have enough time to see all the exhibits as the time was approaching 8 pm when all the lights were turned off indicating the closing time of the museum.

It was another tiring day for us but we had a good time altogether with my family.

Jatim Park 2

I went to East Java on my Christmas holiday with my family. The first places I visited were Batu, Malang. In the first day we went to Museum Satwa, Batu Secret Zoo and Green Eco Park in Jatim Park 2.

In Museum Satwa, we could see many displays of animals from prehistoric to all animals around the world. Joining the quiz with my brother on one of the exhibits, I was so lucky to win a cap as a gift for being the fastest team to answer the question given. I was very happy to win such a gift. I wore the cap throughout the journey during the holiday (please look at the nice cap I wore in the picture below).

In Batu Secret Zoo, I saw many live and exotic animals from all over the world. There were lemur, white tigers, white lions, leopards, cheetahs, capybara, zebras, wildebeests, bisons, flamingos, anacondas to name just a few.

The most fun part is when we rode a truck for a mini safari where we fed animals directly from the truck. The animals got so closed to our face when we fed them. It was really a fun experience. Too bad, we did not prepare enough food for the animals.

There is a bird park in Green Eco Park where you could find a lot of birds all over the world. It was raining very heavily when we were at Green Eco Park so we had to wear a raincoat all the times. We also watched a mini 3D telling story about Hanuman, a Hindu God  who fights against Ravana, the demon king. An Up Side Down House was also very interesting exhibit to visit. You would enter a house where all the things were put upside down. The sofa and chairs were hanging on the ceiling as we entered the house.

It was a very tiring day for us but we had so much fun. I forgot to mention about the price of the entrance ticket. The entrance ticket costs us Rp. 175,000 per person for two days where you could visit Jatim Park 2 as well as Jatim Park 1. I think the price of the ticket was very reasonable considering all the places we could see and visit.
