Upcoming movie: Minions

Hi all. Today I am gonna write and post about upcoming movie, Minions. This will be a new movie about minions, after Despicable Me. It was announced that the film would be released on December 19, 2014 but was pushed from the previous mentioned date to July 10, 2015 for the final release.

Here's the plot of the movie:
Minions are small, yellow creatures who have existed since the beginning of time, evolving from single celled organisms into beings who have only one purpose: to serve history's most despicable masters. After accidentally destroying all their masters, including a T-Rex, Genghis Khan, Napoleon and Dracula, they decide to isolate themselves from the world and start a new life in Antartica.  By 1968, the lack of a master drives them into depression, so Kevin comes up with a plan to find a new one. Joined by the rebellious teenager Stuart and kid Bob, they arrive at a villain convention, where they compete for the right to be henchmen for Scarlet Overkill, a stylish and ambitious villain determined to dominate the world and become the first female super-villain. Travelling through New York City, they end up in London, where they must confront a threat to the existence of all Minion

Short Break to Jakarta :))

After 1 week of midtest, I went to Jakarta with my family for a short break. In Jakarta, we went to Mangga Dua for shopping. We had Tom Yum soup, a sour and spicy soup, originally from Thailand at Mama Tom Yum Resto, ITC Mangga Dua. The taste was very delicious. After lunch, I searched for backcase for my hand phone. Finally, I found 'Sulley' to accompany my phone.  The rest of the day after shopping, I spent my time at the hotel, just relaxing, watching TV, and swimming.

The last day after check out, before returning to Bandung, my uncle, who lives in Jakarta took us to Baywalk Mall, a mall overviewing sea harbour. And then he took us to a place named Shirokuma, at Pantai Indah Kapuk where we got Japanese Dessert. I ordered Snow Affogato,  which has cotton candy on the top of the glass mug, ice cream at the bottom of  the mug, and a small cup containing coffee. The way we ate it was by pouring the coffee on the top of the cotton candy little by little until the cotton candy melted filling the glass mug and then we mixed them with the ice cream. The taste was so good that I wanted to order for the second time.

After that, we went back to Bandung. This was the story of my short break in Jakarta, tiring but we had a great time.

KPI (Faith Refreshesing Worship)

On Friday, March 6th 2015, our school, SMPK 1 BPK Penabur  held an event called KPI. It stands for Kebaktian Penyegaran Iman or in English it is Faith Refreshing Service. The purpose of this event is to refresh our faith to God. This event was attended by 7th and 8th grader and held every year.

This year's event was held at GKI Anugerah, on Jalan Jendral Sudirman. It took about 3 hours from 7.30 am till 10 am.

This year's theme was "Do You Love Me?".  It was the same question asked by Jesus to his beloved disciple, Peter, who denied Jesus three times. The same question is also being asked by God to everyone of us. Even though, many times we act like Peter, who denied Jesus. Nevertheless, God always loves us and even sacrifices His son, Jesus, for us and for our salvation, no matter what we do. God's love is an unconditional one.

There were  a video showing, a sermon, and a lot of songs we sing to praise God during the event. I was really touched by the sermon given by the pastor. I am looking forward to attending the next KPI.

Study Tour to Singapore :)

My school, SMPK 1 BPK Penabur Bandung arranged a study tour to Singapore, which was held  from February 27th to March 5th 2015.  There were 23 students of Grade 7 DCP Programme and 3 teachers joining the program. We flew from Bandung airport at 10:15 a.m. by Air Asia flight and arrived at Singapore, Changi Airport at 12:50 p.m.. After clearing up the immigration and getting our luggages, we went straight to Anderson Junior College Hostel, where we would be staying in Singapore during our study tour. Then we went to Marina Barrage and Gardens By the Bay to spend the rest of the evening. We get back to our hostel at  8.30 p.m., and took a rest and be ready for tommorow activity.

Day 2 - Saturday February 28th 2015.
After taking breakfast at the cafetaria, At 9 am we started our day by taking MRT to go Sentosa Island. There we visited Sea Aquarium and Maritime Museum. I skipped my lunch because the meal was very expensive there. After that , we went to Vivo City to do window shopping in the mall until 4 p.m. Here i got my lunch at Breadtalk. Next, we attended church service at City Harvest Church. The church was so big and splendour and was attended by so many people like a concert. After the service, we visited Suntec City, another big mall near the area. We had dinner in the foodcourt having rice meal. Getting back to our hostel around 8 pm, we took a shower and got to bed after a full tiring day.

Day 3 - Sunday March 1st 2015.
We visited USS (Universal Studio Singapore). We took a picture in front of Universal Studio's Globe as we arrived there. What a fun day for us in USS. We played so many rides like Transformer, The Revenge of  Mummy, Jurrassic Park Rapids Adventures, Madagascar crate ride, and watched the Shrek 4D and Waterworld. I rode the Mummy 5 times because the queue was very short and because of the best pictures we would like to get in return. We had such a wonderful time and enjoyed ourselves. We went back to Vivo City for dinner. I had a sour plum chicken chopped with rice for dinner. It was so yummy because of my hungriness.

Day 4 - Monday March 2nd 2015.
In the morning, after having breakfast, we gathered at the hostel lobby at 6.45 a.m. and had a 20 minutes walk to Anderson Secondary School. We attended a welcoming ceremony and had a briefing about the school. They are very grateful and pleased to welcoming us. Right after the tea time also known as recess, we were divided into 8 groups consisting 3 students each and dispersed to different classes joining the Secondary 2 student. My seat mate was a nice Malay girl, named Nabilah. She was very kind to me. At noon, we gathered in the library to have lunch. After lunch, we return to the hostel to change our clothes and get ready to go to Orchard. We were very exciting to visit Orchard, one of the famous place in Spore for shopping. Here, I bought some T shirts for my brother and my uncle. I turned out buying the wrong one. I had bakut teh for my dinner, one of the signature dish of Singapore. The meat was so tender and delicious but a little bit pricey as I had to spend 8 SGD for the meal.

Day 5 - Tuesday March 3nd 2015.
Today we had a school again in the morning till 12:30. I met Nabilah at school at flag ceremony. She was  smiling at me and welcoming me as we met. We did not return to our hostel to get changed but we changed out clothes at school and went straight to Chinatown. There's a slight change in our itenary plan as we supposed to go to Bugis Junction today but we went to Chinatown instead. I did aome shopping in Chinatown as I found the things here was affordable and I could bargain to get what I wanted to get. We headed straight to the hostel and went to Ang Mo Kio, where we had dinner and cut fruits.

Day 6 - Wednesday March 4th 2015.
As usual, we had a class to attend in the morning, Right after lunch, we went to hostel first and headed for Bugis Junction by MRT. We had BonChon for dinner. It was so delicious but expensive. I did not order any rice because it was so pricey. I had additional extra chicken from my friends as there was left over. I read some books Geronimo Stillton at Kinokuniya book store nearby. Around 8 pm, we returned to the hostel to take a rest after a long tiring day

Day 7 - Thursday March 5th 2015.
Today was our last day in Spore as we had to return home after 1 full week of study trip here. In the morning, we had a class till tea time. At recess 10.30 we got off the classroom, took a picture together at stairs with our BPK classmates together with students of Anderson Secondary 2. We exchanged gifts with our closest friends there as I got a mug while Nabilah got pencil case and keychain in return. After saying goodbye to our new friends and teachers, we returned to the hostel for packing our things. We left for the airport at 1 pm by bus. We arrived at the airport at 1:45 pm. We checked in and used our remaining time in Spore by walking around the airport doing some last shopping before check in. We entered the gate and boarded the aircraft around 4.30 pm. Our flight  took off  at 5:00 pm. Our flight landed and touched down Bandung at 5.50 pm. After clearing immigration procedure and getting our luggage, we went straight to our home as my parents picked me up at the airport.

That's the end of our journey of our study tour in Spore. I would like to thank our teachers, Ms Natalie, Ms Liany, and Mr. Roberto and all my friends from SMPK1 BPK Penabur Grade 7 DCP Program who accompanied me during our trip in Spore and to all my new friends and teachers at Anderson Secondary School for their hospitality during our stay there. We had a great time and so much fun together in Spore and I am looking forward to visiting Singapore again soon.

MAKSI

MAKSI is a biannual event held by SMPK 1 BPK Penabur Bandung. MAKSI stands for Malam Apresiasi Kesenian Siswa. This year's theme is SPECTRO K1. The word ''SPECTRO'' adapted from the word Spectrum, which describes the colour of rainbow where the colour represents the students talent specifically in the field of art. This event was held in Bikasoga, Balai Sartika, Bandung, on Friday, the 13th of February 2015. In MAKSI, there were many amazing performances by the students of SMPK 1 BPK, such as drama, modern dance, band, wushu, choir, and ballet.  The ticket price is divided by two categories, regular and VIP. The regular costs Rp 60,000 and VIP costs Rp 125,000. Even though the show was very long, it was fun and I didnt get bored. The purpose of this event is to stimulate the creativity of the students in the field of art. Dont miss the next MAKSI event, which will be held in 2017. I bet you will enjoy it and have a good time there.
